How to boot from USB on ASUS
ASUS laptops commonly use Esc for the boot menu, while ASUS desktop motherboards commonly use F8.
Quick answer
- Boot menu key: Esc or F8
- Setup (BIOS/UEFI) key: F2 or Del
Steps
- Shut the computer down completely. On Windows, hold Shift while choosing Shut down so Fast Startup does not skip the menu.
- Plug in your bootable USB drive.
- Power on and press the boot menu key (Esc or F8) as soon as the logo appears.
- Choose the USB drive. Pick the entry with UEFI in its name on a modern computer.
- If it does not start, check Secure Boot and UEFI vs Legacy settings.
